Lander County Conservation District
The Lander County Conservation District (LCCD) has a board Supervisor vacancy for persons with an interest in natural resources management. The LCCD is a legal subdivision of state government responsible for the protection, conservation and wise use of the soil, water and related natural resources within the area of its District, working cooperatively with federal, state and local agencies and organizations; the district brings educational, technical and financial assistance to the conservation issues of the district. Supervisors must reside within the district (Lander County), board meetings are conducted in accordance with Nevada Open Meeting Law. This position will fill the remaining unexpired term to December 31, 2022. Per NRS 548.295 1. A vacancy in the office of supervisor of a district must be filled for the unexpired term as soon as practicable after the office becomes vacant, by appointment by the remaining supervisors of the district.
