Helping people to conserve land, water, forests, wildlife and related natural resources

Lander County Conservation District

AUGUST 13, 2019 530PM

On Tuesday, August 13th, Dave Voth, Rangeland Health coordinator from the Nevada Department of Agriculture (NDA), will give a demonstration of the free recently released Rangeland Monitoring App, built specifically with producers in mind to conduct rangeland monitoring, at a meeting of the Lander County Conservation District.

“This new tool will put the power of effective monitoring in the hands of producers,” Voth said “The future of public land grazing depends on good stewardship, and monitoring translates what a producer does on the ground into information that can be used by land management agencies.” Voth can schedule one-on-one trainings at no cost to producers as well.

This app helps fulfill the NDA Rangeland Health Program’s mission to aid landowners in the development of projects and land management that encourages economically viable and sustainable practices. Good monitoring will help producers make good management decisions and will ultimately lead to better rangeland health. For more information including meeting Agenda, and to RSVP for the meeting, as seating is limited, please contact Shannon at 635-1345 or by email at .
