AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY:

Endangered Wildlife Priority area population stabilization and/or increase project funding.

Receive a 50% discount on the use of the LCCD's 300 GALLON trailer mounter sprayer with hand-gun when used for the control of noxious weeds in Lander County. Contact us to obtain an application.

If large amounts of mormon crickets or grasshoppers are seen, please report to Nevada Department of Agriculture.


Bait is no longer provided by NDA or Extension Office but arial spraying will be done if large enough populations are reported.

AVAILABLE YEAR ROUND:

Noxious Weed, Rodent and Pest control Cost Share Program.


Private land owners/lessees can receive up to a 50% cost share with a maximum of $1,000 per calendar year in reimbursements for the purchase of herbicide(s), pesticide(s), or bait traps for the control and/or eradication of noxious weeds (identification manuals available at LCCD office), rodents (gophers/ground squirrels), and pests (mormon crickets/grasshoppers).


Funding is limited with a $5,000 yearly budget cap to be imposed. Applications will be accepted January 1st through December 31st for current year, must include receipts in applicant name and use report, and are subject to board review and approval.
